Overview

The Seventh Legion Vanguard is the tip of the spear for the upcoming Alliance offensive against the Horde. The Vanguard is currently led by Lord Commander Grayston Valdor whom leads its operations focusing on the regions of the Kul Tiras and Zuldazar.

From the valleys and peaks of Mount Hyjal, across the shifting sands of Silithus, against the Legion's dread armies - The Vanguard has stood ready to sacrifice everything to accomplish its objectives and safeguard the Alliance.

Operational Protocol

The Seventh Legion Vanguard is a PvP-oriented Military RP guild which fulfills the niche as a battalion of forward deployed shock troopers within the 7th Legion. With the upcoming worldwide war with the Horde, the Vanguard conducts various offensive story-driven raids on Horde settlements.

The goal of this guild is to provide a broad climate and atmosphere in which individual members are empowered to take charge, make contributions, and host a variety of organic events. Allowing the guild to be community driven rather than an extension of its leader. While roleplay is required during official meetings, events, and other occasions; there is no required level of roleplay familiarity to join, though guild resources are in place to tutor those who may be weak at or new to roleplay.

The main highlight of the Vanguard is its structure allowing individuals to participate in story-driven world PvP operations, island expeditions, and warfronts in a Roleplay Context. Completing objectives will influence future story-driven operations.

Examples may include but are not limited to:

  • Raiding Horde Territory with the objective to dismantle a weapons cache of blight. As blight is volatile, it cannot be simply demolished, but must be carefully neutralized meaning that the area must be held for a given time in order to complete the objective.
  • Community Events with Horde Guilds/Players in which a VIP is escorted through Horde Territory by members of the 7th Legion who must protect the VIP from Horde Assassins.
  • Massive cooperative Warfront campaigns with a clear chain of command, coordination, and teamwork.
  • Promotion & Award Ceremonies to reward event attendance, competency, and valor in combat.
  • Large-scale Military parades in uniform.
