Early Life[]

Born the eldest daughter to Niu and Chi-min Tenderheart, Annchi's early years were spent living a happy albeit work-filled cubhood on the Tenderheart homestead in the Valley of the Four-winds. Though having two older brothers helped take a bit of pressure off her, being the only daughter thus far in the family quickly built tensions between herself and her very traditional Jadepaw mother who was more keen on raising her daughter to be a marketable lady than a rancher. Unfortunately for Chi-min, Annchi took to her father more. The rambunctious cub preferred to roll around in the sweet grass and wrestle with her eldest brother, Bo, over sitting in the house with her mother and middle brother, Buru. Annchi found loom weaving and social politics monotonous and dressing up pretty downright unbearable from how much the clothing restricted her movements. In the end, Chi-min gave up and found comfort in the fact that Buru seemed to at least share quite a few of her interests.

Upon reaching her ninth year, Annchi met her best friend and closest confidant. One of the family's yaks, Ae-Ra, had started to calf early and Niu gave Annchi the responsibility of helping to pull the calf out. The birth was long, arduous, and incredibly wet and sticky but in the end a very small cow had successfully been delivered. Annchi was proud but Niu on the other hand, doubted the calf's survival due to her small and sickly demeanor but ultimately spared her thanks to Annchi's incessant fussing. As a result, the calf was left in Annchi's care and she affectionately named her Anzu, after the girl's own love for apricots.

Adulthood ( 18 -24 )[]

While the match had been made late, Annchi wasn't exactly pleased to find that her mother had struck up a deal with an affluent neighboring clan, the Sweetclovers, to have the eldest daughter of the Tenderheart clan marry one of their own. What cut her the deepest, however, was how complacent her Father was in the planning. Despite his reassurance that all she needs to do is meet the boy, the 'betrayal' still cut deep. The meeting went better than expected. Annchi met with Samayo Sweetclover, the eldest son of the family and while the two weren't head-over-paws with each other they were reasonably content with the match until the marriage happened. Annchi's brash nature clashed with Samayo's own and the two found themselves constantly at odds with each other. As time went on, it was also becoming increasingly clear that settling down so soon hadn't been in Samayo's plans.

The pairing only lasted six months before Samayo departed in the middle of the night and Annchi quietly returned to the Tenderheart homestead, delivering a healthy baby boy she loving named Guǒzhī three months later in the company of Anzu.

Life went on as normal on the Tenderheart Ranch for several years. During this time, the family had entered in a partnership deal with a fledgling village that was tucked away in the surrounding mountains for both livestock and protection in exchange for coin. Life was stable for Annchi and she soon found herself taking on a new surname after a year of courting with a Shado-pan Blackguard, Kenichi Silentstream. Life was good until it wasn't; many outside the situation can only speculate what happened after the leadership of the village her family faithfully assisted suddenly shifted from better to worse. Mijime Brokenbell, a strange and unsettling woman with less than benevolent intentions had taken up the mantle of mayor of the village and the effects were almost immediate. After three tense years and the untimely death of the matriarch of the family, the conflict seemed to explode after the death of Guǒzhī by the paws of one of Mijime's trusted confidants and the Tenderhearts flew into a rage. The end of the conflict left Annchi widowed and down a father and her middle brother, leaving her uncle Yao-long Tenderheart as the acting Pandriarch of what remained of the family.

Tensions lingered in the family and Annchi, with Anzu by her side, was said to have left in the middle of the night to parts unknown for many years.

Adulthood 25 - 27 ( Current )[]

For the first year, Annchi wandered the continents with Anzu by her side. The two of them traveled with a small caravan for six months before being picked up by a Circus based out of Bogpaddle. Here, Annchi introduced the wonders of Country-paw cooking, serving as a food vendor at the shows and eventually growing close and forming a relationship with a Troll performer, Xabrak Redspear. However, bad blood was not content to dry and Annchi departed for Pandaria to check on her Uncle and youngest sister, only to see the homestead up in flames. Not taking kindly to the punishment for her insubordination, Annchi struck a deal with the Shado-pan to help bring those still affiliated with the village to justice and in return, she would turn herself in and await trial for the crimes she committed beneath them. The details of what transpired are sparse but the corrupted head was turned in and her right hand men disposed of. In the conflict, whether it be punishment for her crimes or a result of a particularly violent scuffle, Annchi ended up losing her right paw that a fellow Circus-member would later replace with a robotic prosthetic.

The last time Annchi would be in Pandaria would be after the death of her husband, Xabrak Redspear. Annchi was called to attend the trial of Mijime Brokenbell. Ultimately, the woman was spared death and sentenced to life in prison for her practices and crimes but old hatreds aren't so eager to die and a dissatisfied member of the opposing party confronted Annchi, the encounter taking both her pride and her beloved fang.

After a particularly tense falling out with the circus and discovering she was pregnant; Annchi made the difficult decision to cut her losses and leave her home of two years, giving herself the surname of 'Brokenfang' to hide from prying eyes and to remind herself of her shame. With Anzu by her side, Annchi set off and later settled in Westfall.

Personality[]

"Family above all else." Being raised in the Valley, Annchi had a plethora of values ingrained into her head from a young age along with a handful of etiquette lessons from her Mother. While she has mellowed out over the years, she holds strong to her family's mantra of 'The strength of the herd is the yak and the strength of the yak is the herd'. While a little weary in the eyes, Annchi is generally a warm individual who is always happy to sit down and have a chat after initial introductions are out of the way. The most negative aspect about the Country-paw would be her stubbornness which is equal parts painful and dangerous. Like a yak set on accomplishing a task, it is incredibly difficult to sway Annchi from an action or path that she believes is right, especially when certain matters are involved such as her family.
