Merged with Blackrock Clan

The Black Tooth Grin Clan was an Orcish clan that rose to power during the Second War. Members of the clan, as a show of loyalty were required to knock out one of their own teeth before they could be trusted.

The Great WarsEdit

The Black Tooth Grin Clan was originally part of the Blackrock Clan, however after the dethroning (and subsequent death) of Warchief Blackhand the Destroyer his two sons Rend Blackhand and Maim Blackhand sought to establish their own power base within the ranks of the Horde and thus formed the Black Tooth Grin Clan with forces from the Blackrock Clan that were loyal to them. During the Second War they were primarily responsible for spearheading attacks in the dwarven lands of Khaz Modan and guarded the Dark Portal from any would-be aggressors, however after the betrayal of Gul'dan which saw the Twilight's Hammer Clan and Stormreaver Clan abandon the Horde during the siege of Lordaeron City, the Black Tooth Grin Clan, along with Rend and Maim were sent after them by Orgrim Doomhammer.

After the defeat of the Horde during the Second War the majority of the Clan were slain by forces of the Alliance of Lordaeron. Those that survived fled with the remains of the Blackrock Clan into Blackrock Spire where they would reform into the Dark Horde under the command of both Rend and Maim. Inside the mountain they warred with the Dark Iron Clan of dwarves lead by Emperor Dagran Thaurissan for control over the mountain. During one such battle Maim Blackhand was slain, leaving Rend as the sole chieftain of both the Blackrock and Black Tooth Grin clans and sole Warchief of the Dark Horde. Allying his horde with the forces of Nefarian and the Black Dragonflight they claimed the top half of Blackrock Spire for themselves, forcing the Dark Irons into the depths of the mountain.

A New LeaderEdit

Following the Cataclysm, the Black Tooth Grin was crippled and lacking a leader, until To'ruk Bloodhowl decided to claim the title of Chieftain and right to lead the clan. Without any opposition, To'ruk became the new chieftain.

The Dark Horde also became allies with the Cult of the Twilight's Hammer and Deathwing during the Cataclysm.

The Iron OffensiveEdit

Gorak Skullcleaver, former warrior of the Kor'kron and now a criminal of the New Horde, came to Blackrock Mountain with an offer to join his forces with the Clan's. Enthused by the prospects, To'ruk accepted, forming the Iron Offensive.

However, after the War of Bloodied Iron, a large group (about a hundred) of the Blackrocks managed to escape the bloodshed, returning to the Mountain, now crippled from the loss of the Offensive.
