The Bloody Dawn was a forsaken host, originally assembled by Dread Commander, Terrence Bishop with the sole purpose of laying waste to all remaining human civilization in Lordaeron. Rumored to be the largest host assembled since the forsaken destroyed Southshore, their numbers were estimated in the thousands before the battle of Eddenfield. Their raiding parties have pillaged many of the smaller villages from Western, to Northern Lordaeron and have laid waste to the city of Dawnshire, the town of Wite Harbor, and later laid siege to Thorn's Reach on the Northern shore.

The Bloody Dawn was said to have met its end at the controversial battle of Edenfield, when Terrence Bishop and his Captains were decimated by the Royal Army of the Kingdom of Lordaeron Restored, but its surviving members have been recruiting soldiers from within the ranks of the forsaken once more. The ceasefire achieved after the Siege of Orgrimmar prompted Sylvanas Windrunner to order the Bloody Dawn disbanded. The new Dread Commander, Thomas Ashvale proved to be far less loyal than his predecessor and has willfully disobeyed her. Now occupying his family's former stronghold of Ashfort City, the Dread Commander has used the period of ceasefire to rebuild his forces. It is rumored that the Dread Commander has even persuaded a number of Death Knights to join his cause.

Recent Developments[]

Although it was largely destroyed at the battle of Edenfield, the Bloody Dawn did not meet its end, and with but a handful of surviving members, the Dawn has recently begun recruiting soldiers from within the ranks of the Forsaken. Under the leadership of one of its former victims, Sir Thomas Ashvale, the Dawn has assembled at least one hundred members, and plans to finish the work its former Commander had begun.

Using the Castle held by his elder brother in life, Commander Ashvale has planned a number of small, precision strikes against the human holdouts East of Tirisfal. Unlike his predecessor, Ashvale acts out of malice, rather than loyalty to Sylvanas, and is said to have an unsatiable lust for violence. His fits of rage have resulted in the deaths of Alliance soldiers and Argent Crusaders alike, his twin dueling swords cutting down any foolish enough to cross his path.
