Human Clans

Though largely supplanted by the development of multi-clan towns and cities, a number of identifiable Human clans remain extant. These clans rarely date back to the Tribal period of Human history, but nonetheless meet the following definition of a clan:

• A group of shared descent from a particular ancestor, whether this descent is real or mythic, which maintains strong kinship ties among its families and distinct habits and family traditions.

These groups are distinct from Noble Houses as they are not typically a part of the Feudal aristocracies, though individual members and families may possess titles in such systems.
