Cryomancy is the magic of using ice, usually in combat or through other utility uses. It is one of the most common types of magic and is often used by battlemagi. Practitioners of cryomancy are called Cryomancers.
Battle Uses[]
Cyromancy can be used in battle to great effect. It can be used to detain and kill enemies. It can freeze a being in such a way that it will not kill them, but simply encase them in a hollow ice cage. Common methods to kill a person with cryomancy involve freezing the heart or simply turning one into ice, shattering the body.
Utility Uses[]
In addition to its combat appliances, cryomancy can be used to great effect as a utility skill, such as when cooking and constructing, amongst others. For example, it can be used to cool food down and can act as a mobile fridge. In construction, it can be used to temporarily hold things together, such as steel pieces.
