At a young age, Moranai acquired her first Hawkstrider egg from the breeders in Eversong. She eagerly waited for the Strider to break free from its egg and was taught how to train the flightless bird, how to help it grow and how to keep it a loyal companion.
For the next three centuries, she took care of each Strider born and bred from that one egg, keeping them each as her loyal riding companion. Upon entering adulthood, the Strider was gifted with armor for its wings and chest for protection when riding into battle.
While Nirvana was a hassle to the Hawkstrider, Cyra, they have managed to become friends (save for the constant sqwaks and roars).
