The very centre of the Duchy of Aurellia , once a very prosperous region despite its rocky terrain and cold climate, as it was positioned right in the middle of a busy trading route between the Alteraci capital and the northern regions of Lordaeron.The capital of the Earldom is the city of Dennaventum.

Dennaventum: Located on a large island in the middle of Lake Aneirin. A sturdy bridge of Alteraci granite and oak on the western shore acts as the only way onto the island, from there a cobblestone road leads up a hill and through the reinforced gates of the city’s stone walls. The inner and outer districts of the city are separated by a second granite wall, and the difference between the two can be seen clearly. Snow-covered ruins turned black by a great firestorm is all that remains of the outer district. Only recently has the inner district been restored to its former state, tall-roofed buildings made from Alteraci granite and pine line the streets.
At the end of rode is a large town square, where a weathered statue of Caerwyn the Slayer sits, having somehow survived the ages. Behind the statue on a hill sits the castle, which acts as the seat and residence of the House of Caerwyn and the Duke of Aurellia. The castle is a five-towered fortress, its walls made from giant bricks of granite cut from the valley’s quarries and its gates made from thick iron-reinforced oak.
