Ruphir, "The Lightbringer", is the young leader of Ante Tiriosh, a division of the Army of the Light. His hopeful ideals and fresh perspective guide his division through an uncertain future, as war rages across Azeroth, a world still largely unfamiliar to him.
Biography[]
A relatively young Draenei just under 2,000 years old, Ruphir was born into Draenic society as they traveled through the Twisting Nether, fighting the Legion. He always aspired to become Lightforged, to one day see the world of his people, Argus. Centuries later, when he finally arrived there with the Army of Light, pushing back the enemy, he realized that in fact he had no connection to this irreversibly tainted husk.
Feeling nothing for his ancestral home, it haunted him during his troubled Lightforged ritual. Defeating an enemy that he was born to fight, he was left without purpose. But it was in this crisis that he discovered his true sense of self - beyond the Army, beyond the Draenei, and directly with the Holy Light - he was born anew, with new purpose. To serve and protect Azeroth, the home of his Exodar cousins, to settle here with them, to defeat the remnants of the enemy, and to carve out a new future for his people.
Recognizing the emboldened Ruphir as a perfect candidate to bridge the Alliance and Army of Light, Turalyon appointed him Exarch of Ante Tiriosh, the 22nd division of the Army. This division was in the midst of reformation, and with it's new goals, it would blossom into something entirely beyond it's original intent.
Battle for Azeroth[]
Ante Tiriosh participated in the Battle of Dazar'alor. and suffered a large number of causalities. Ruphir vanished during the fighting, and was later officially deemed missing-in-action. Army high command pulled the 22nd Division back to inactive status, leaving the future of Ante Tiriosh uncertain. Many of the remaining soldiers were sorted into other divisions of the Army, or merged into the Seventh Legion.
Shadowlands[]
When the Shadowlands opened up to the living, it was learned that Ruphir did not exist amongst the dead. Leaving even more mystery to his status and where he could be.
