|“||Tell me, if you thought your entire race, culture and family were going to be snuffed out by the blue sickness, would you have held back? Would you have sat there and watched as your brothers and sisters went to war to save your people. No... you wouldn't. I didn't, and I will stand by that choice for the rest of my life. I pave my own path of glory now, for my clan, for the Thyrin, and like death itself, you cannot stop our inevitable victory.||”|
Gorlog Skullhidder is the current chieftain of the Skullhidder Clan and a prominent member of the Thyrin Cult. Born to superstitious shamans of the Shadowmoon and Dragonmaw clans, Gorlog was 'destined' to become a wise and worthy protector of his people. Instead he brought only shame to his family when he cast out the elements and joined the Shadow Council.
Stripped of his family name and nearly killed by Ogrim Doomhammer's men, Gorlog and various other council survivors fled to the isle of Valamore. After the Orcish Horde's defeat in the Second War, more survivors continued to flee to the island until eventually there was a large enough population for a small clan. Naming themselves the Skullhidders, they elected Gorlog as their leader for his discovery of their new home.
In recent years, Gorlog reluctantly swore his clan to the Thyrin Cult out of desperate need for survival. He at first feared that history would repeat itself for his clan because of their new allegiance, but Theradin's kindness, generosity and power assured him of his choice.
Gorlog is currently in the Thyrin holding of Ferwich, where he works with his most trusted necrolytes to recover dragon bones to construct large undead war-machines.
