The Grand Library is a massive research library located in the Violet Citadel. It is open to all member of the Kirin Tor. Non Kirin Tor members must be accompanied by a member to access the library.

The Grand Library is the holding place of the Kirin Tor's research and spells. It is home to thousands of tomes, scrolls, and parchments. Any reading material that could further the Kirin Tor's goal of furthering magical education and research is brought to the library and catalogued. It is attended to night and day by a small army of librarians and loremasters. To take any item out of the library one must be a member of the Kirin Tor and take it to the front desk. If a non-member of the Kirin Tor wishes to take an item out they must get the permission of the Head Librarian.

The Grand Library has been collecting books since its founding in the early days of Dalaran. It has been added to

throughout the years and has grown steadily larger with the addition of several 'book spires' which are towers filled with books that require magic to get too. When the Violet Citadel was destroyed with the rest of Dalaran, the Grand Library was one of the few places to remain still standing. Several librarians were present in the library at the time of the city's destruction and are credited with saving much of the library. Since Dalaran's rebirth the Grand Library has served as a hub for the Kirin Tor's members
