Holy magic, also known as divine magic or Light magic, is a type of magic drawing upon the power of the Holy Light. Holy magic is able to both heal wounds, smite enemies, and raise the dead into life. It is mostly practiced by priests and paladins, and it is summoned by willpower or faith in one's ability to do so; however one's intentions do not affect their abilities, so as such, as long as they believe they are doing good, the Light will empower them.
Holy magic is the direct counterpart to shadow magic, the magic of the Void, which is the Light's opposite. As such, Light and Void magic counteract each other. The usage of holy magic can bring warmth and comfort to those wielding and being mended by it, contrary to shadow magic that brings negativity and in many cases insanity.
