Though once a large prosperous fishing town of close to 3,000, the town has been reduced to rubble with the fall of the Verthill Valley. Now resettled with the reconquest of the valley by the Argent Bulwark life has started to return. The town is situated on a massive lake, the largest in the region that feeds into the Preb River, which feeds to Darrowmere Lake. While once it had no walls or watch towers and only a small barracks, the Bulwark and Crusade set about making sure the town had proper defenses and now a large wooden wall, built to be five men deep, is around the town and its single gate. From this only one road runs into the town and leads to a large square that functions as a market and that leads off into six roads that head off deeper into the town. Dozens of wooden houses have been built and the once famous Black Barnacle Tavern has been rebuilt along the port district of the town. The port district of the town is the most famous and well known, with large wooden docks having been repaired and rebuilt, ships now dock there before moving on down the large river to Verthill, Darrowmere and from there the ocean.
The town is managed by Lord Commander Lantos Swiftsong, though a steward has been appointed by Swiftsong and is currently Argent Crusade Captain Daniel Reynolds.
