'Kw'nthe (pronounced KWA-nuh-thei) also known as Kaiwan or K'wnthe', is an Old God residing somewhere within the void or Great Dark Beyond. Its power is immense and is said to have devoured stars. During the Ordering of Azeroth, the servants of the Black Empire attempted to call forth this dreadful being in a desperate attempt to turn the tide against the indomitable Pantheon, an attempt that failed. However, over the past 10,000 years, this hungering nightmare has peered through the rift left behind and taken increasing interest in the world soul of Azeroth. Following the outbreak of the Curse of Flesh, the entity entered through its avatar, The Flayed King, although the twisted schemes of his minion have been relegated to the island of Hyad. The Flayed King started as an infamous figure in history that performed dark rituals in reverence to the entity while committing horrendous deeds.
