Kasimirsk, or quite literally Kasimir's City, is the principal seat of the Principality of Kasivy. Located at the mouth of the Din River, it is a harbor city. It has a large, sprawling build, a remnant of an earlier era of its history in which its inhabitants were largely nomadic; however, as one moves their way inward towards the city center and the harbor, its more modern features become obvious. At the city center is a heavily fortified keep, the legacy of the man for whom it is named, who feared losing what he had only just acquired.
Etymology[]
Prior to its conquest by Tsar Kasimir I, this city was known as Dorhanaar, roughly translating to "City of the Valorous" in the Darnassian dialect spoken by the Lyuudri. The city shared its name with the chief dynasty of the Lyuudri who inhabited it, the Dorhajin Dynasty.
After 1567 PC, the city was renamed Kasimirsk after its conqueror, Kasimir I. A similar naming convention was followed for the principality at large. It is this name that it is known by today.
