The one known as Nelko Blacksun was of the few Sin'dorei in the horde that truly believed in Garrosh Hellscream's reign for a time pre-siege, he left the Sunreavers, and threw his lot behind the majority of the Orc's supporting the true Horde. With the fall of Garrosh Hellscream, it was uncertain to what Nelko Blacksun had truly been up to. And while he had joined a Both the Megabucks Cartel and Bladebane Industries for a time, before finally joining the Hand of Vengeance, he has been radio silent for years - only appearing once during the Tournament of Ages (2023) and then again at Last Keep in the Plaguelands for a two-month trial period with the Last Legions. He then vanished once again after that, only to appear in mid-June (2024) as not just an Undead, but a San'layn. As of the start of the new year (2025), he was given the title of Head Necromancer of the Barony Fallborough and works directly for the ruling Baron.
Description[]
Appearance[]
If one was to ever see Nelko's body without armor on, would find it covered in many self-inflicted burn marks, about twenty deep wounds across his back and chest area and even several runes that are primarily for the stabilization of his spell work, and for the safety of others as his magic has always been known to go haywire.
Most notably, is the outline of scar on his face from his right eye eyebrow all the way down, crossing his lips and down to his chin. It's the same scar he got during one of the battles he was in at Stonetalon Mountains (2014).
Thankfully, in Undeath, he has managed to mitigate the smell of his awful body odor and fel, but . . . he probably still smells awful. At least now, he has a reason for it.
Armor[]
Nelko has several outfits (that is armor of some sort) that he wears, but the most common among them is his more so purple like outfit ( Gul'dan's Regalia set) and then followed by his 'War suit' (Plagueheart set).
However, whatever he wears is meant to be able to move freely with-in. Even in robes, if he so choses to wear them.
Weapons[]
The Last Chance; Bolt gun made by Baenhoof.
Revenge: A pistol that was given to him by Inarius von Lairton shortly before the events of the War of the Thorns.
History[]
Officially, the records of Nelko Blacksun were sealed two weeks after joining the Hand of Vengeance, which was about five months before the War of the Thorns, and all records of him have either been marked as classified or lost.
However, Nelko’s most notably known for his extensive War Record (see below), and his erratic tendencies. Not to mention his shift in allegiances for when it suits him.
Originally, he a loyal follower of Kael'thalas and part of Kael'thalas' army but ended up switching sides and officially ‘joined’ the Horde shortly before the second ‘death’ of Kael’Thas.
He then joined the Sunreavers, but ultimately had a few.... ideological differences, and ‘unofficially’ left them when he joined up with the Cult of the Damned for quite a few months as part of a ‘research’ project.
However, Nelko has no memory of this whatsoever and it could simply be rumors, but what is known is that Nelko was gone for three months without anyone knowing where he was and he acted as if nothing happened.
After the attack expulsion of the Sunrevavers from Dalaran, Nelko grew to hate the Alliance more and more and shortly after the fall of the Thunder King, he joined the Kor'kron legion under the Orc Death Knight Skullcrusha.
It was only after he joined the Kor'kron that Nelko's erratic tendencies became more noticeable.
Under the High Warlord, Nelko slipped into all too familiar habits and became far crueler and viler. It was during that time that Nelko began his training under an orc Warlock named Xuthakug. It was at that same time that the Darkspear revolution started to establish credibility.
Nelko spent quite some time in the Underhold, but eventually, during the final moments of the Siege, there was a moment of truth and Nelko switched sides - crafting a well placed lie to keep his head on. Ultimately, Nelko switched sides and left the surviving Garrosh Loyalists - including his best friend to either be captured or killed. Nelko claimed that he was a spy the entire time and somehow his lie worked and after much questioning he was let go.
Months later, Nelko rejoined the so called reformed Kor'kron Legion and it was only then that he took matters into his own hands. He became far more unstable as not only did he blind several of his own men, but he also during two different occasions slaughtered around thirty of his own men for failing orders and tried to trap a scouting group in a cave. It was only after he was captured that not only was he given fifty lashes for his actions, but also he was thrown out of the Kor'kron and also exiled from Orgrimmar.
Ultimately, by the time of the Iron Horde's arrival, Nelko had been exiled out most of the Horde capitals (Excluding Undercity) and it wasn't until he joined with the Megabucks Cartel (2015), that his exile from Quel'thalas was finally lived . . . with a fair amount of gold.
It wasn't until the Legion Invasion (late 2016) that Nelko was formally allowed back into the rest of the horde capitals due to both his service to the Horde as well as two specific writs of good faith. It was only after that that he was allowed roam the rest of the Horde capitals freely.
Nelko spent a fair amount of time with both Bladebane Industries before ultimately joining the Hand of Vengeance formally which was about five months before the War of the Thorns. It was during that time that Nelko started to study Necromancy and ultimately Nelko stayed with the Hand of Vengeance for several years, until they were ultimately dissolved (Sometime during Shadowlands).
After that, Nelko went radio silent for several years, only appearing to join the sparing competition in the Tournament of Ages (2023), to be defeated by a Dracthyr in his second round and also to try his luck at pulling out a cursed sword. After that, there was more silence until he was seen in Dalaran opting to join the Last Legions, which only lasted a short two-month trial period, for which he was spotted hanging around Last Keep somewhere in the Plaguelands.
After his attempt with that specific mercenary group (the last legions) didn't go as planned, he went radio silent again, and went back to Northrend. It was there he was going to live out the rest of his days in the Grizzly Hills in peace. It was a dream and one that lasted for around half a year before he found himself right at death's doorstep. Not the way that he wanted to go either, but he did make a promise that one day he would be Undead. At least this way, he would look far better than a corpse.
And so, Nelko Blacksun finally found himself Undead, but not just any undeath, undeath as a San'layn. Something that would give its own set of challenges to. As well as benefits, but at least this way? He no longer has to deal with his body giving up on him due to the fact the lungs he damaged almost beyond repair.
War Record[]
Nelko Blacksun's War record is extensive. Upon joining the Horde, he has had involvement in most battles in some form, but his involvement with the Kor'kron leading up to the Horde Civil War and other minor skirmishes up to the Siege of Lordaeron is most notable. More so because he was at the Burning of Teldrassil during The War of the Thorns.
Personality[]
Unstable. That is the best way to put exactly who Nelko is like. Somedays he can be quite docile and agreeable, but other's he is not. It all depends on his ever-changing mood that can almost always be considered fatal unless in rare instances.
