The Nightbane Pack is the only Feral-Worgen pack in the lower Eastern Kingdoms. It is also the most well-known and populous pack of the major Worgen packs. They can be found in the tainted forests of Duskwood. Unlike the worgens of Gilneas, the Nightbane Pack is purely-worgen: They do not know the word mercy like a Gilnean-Worgen might.
History[]
After Velinde Starsong left the Scythe of Elune in Roland's Doom, it wasn't long until others discovered it. Jitters discovered the Scythe on accident after he wandered aimlessly into the abandoned mine shaft. He found the Scythe jutting from the wall, and out of curiosity: He yanked it from it's safehold. Almost instantly, the power from within the Scythe omitted and dozens of Worgen began to appear.
The Black Riders of Deadwind Pass felt the presence of the Scythe almost instantly, and rode to Duskwood in attempts to find their beloved relic. Unfortunately, it was too late. Although, in their ruthless ride, they slaughtered Sven Yorgen's family in an attempt to find the Scythe.
Power of the Nightbane[]
The Nightbane Pack is perhaps the most powerful and most intelligent of any feral pack. Some of the feral-worgen have mastered magical abilities and others use tactic and well-planned attacks when striking helpless prey.
Cataclysm[]
After the Cataclysm occured, several of the Gilnean worgen thought they could save the mindless rampage that the Nightbane Pack had grown into. In an attempt to salvage the humanity of Duskwood, several Gilnean Worgen went to Raven Hill to set up camps.
They've cured several infected Duskwood residents who were bitten, but they've yet to find a way to cure those Worgen that were risen by the Scythe of Elune.
