Onslaught Harbor was the base of operations for the Scarlet Onslaught in Icecrown, located on a pair of small islands just off the western coast of the frozen glacier. The forces of the harbor were led by Grand Admiral Barean Westwind, who succeeded High General Brigitte Abbendis as leader of the Onslaught after her death in New Hearthglen, and the resurrected High Abbot Landgren, who had been named Archbishop. As Westwind predicted the fall of New Hearthglen, Onslaught Harbor was considered the Onslaught's capital until his disappearance; afterwards, it became the center of a group to be referred to here as the Harbor Onslaught, led by former gryphon rider Dieter Falke.
After Ebon Blade sabotage crippled the combat capabilities of the Harbor Onslaught garrison, the port was largely left alone by the major powers, whose attentions had returned to the Scourge. Without seaworthy vessels or allies in the region, the Harbor Onslaught turned to raiding nearby Vrykul villages for supplies, using their gryphon riders to perform hit-and-run attacks.
Around 33 LC, the Raven Conclave, the surviving clergy of Westwind's Raven sect, made contact with Falke, and by 34 LC the Conclave had reestablished its church at the Harbor. This marked the beginning of the Harbor Onslaught's transition from a survivalist mentality to an expansionist one; acting on the divinations of the Raven Archon Triana Brandt, the Harbor Onslaught began to launch scouting expeditions into mainland Northrend, seeking to establish contact with other groups of Scarlet survivors. They managed to recover a few, but most had already retreated back to New Hearthglen under Franklin Gloeckner's command. Gloeckner, not sharing Westwind's Raven ideology, would not submit easily to the Conclave's rule, and as such no attempts at communication were made as of yet.
After the Dragonblight Offensive and the withdrawal of Truthful support from New Hearthglen, the overtures of reunification were made, and Gloeckner accepted the offer, reuniting the Onslaught under one banner. Dieter Falke began the long process of salvaging any important supplies from Onslaught Harbor and moving it across the wastes to New Hearthglen, which he adopted as his new seat.
It is unclear exactly what garrison remains at Onslaught Harbor, if any, but the Scarlet Onslaught continues to claim it as part of their territory.
