Redfang is a Gnoll stuck in the form of an oversize bear and the self-proclaimed leader of all the wild bears of Elwynn Forest. Redfang led the bears in the Stormwind Bear War against Barathen Wrynn and, reportedly, trained the bears of the Azeroth in how to combat Human soldiers.
How Redfang came to possess his skills as a druid, as well as his immense size, unique appearance and ferocious tendencies are not known. What is known is that this massive creature can rip apart humans clad in full plate with his bear hands with ease and his thick hide makes him almost impervious to any physical attacks.
During the Gnoll War Redfang supplied Garfang of the Redridge pack with several of his bears to be used against the famed Stormwind Cavalry.
Shortly after the end of the Gnoll War Redfang rallied the Elwynn Brown Bears and led them in battle against the Kingdom of Stormwind for years in the catastrophic Stormwind Bear War, slaying the renowned Marshal Hubert as vengance for the death of the Gnoll-king Garfang.
After the Stormwind Bear War Redfang vanished, presumably into the Elwynn Mountains. The Stormwind Military and countless hunters have tried to track the creature to no avail, for those that go after him never return.
It is widely suspected that Redfang, commanding his bears, is the main reason for the continued attacks on Stormwind villages such as the Eastvale Logging Camp.
The Stormwind Military and Guard have placed a bounty of five thousand gold on the Bear King and advises a highly skilled, organized team of no less then ten soldiers equipped with the latest gear if one wishes to attemped to take him down.
