Renius Firavel is the founder of both House Firavel and Villanelle, he was granted nobility after his obliterating of the Gor'deshi forest troll settlement. Atop the troll ruins, Renius oversaw the building of Villanelle, which has gone on to be the ancestral holding of House Firavel ever since.
Physical Appearance[]
Renius Firavel was quite tall in life, standing at six-foot-seven, his height only further complimented by his muscular and bulky build. He had angular facial features with highcheek bones, a pointed chin and narrowed deep blue eyes. His hair was a bleach blonde color that gently cascaded down to the middle of his back.

Troll Wars[]
During the Troll Wars, Renius Firavel, now a commander in the Quel'dorei forces, was order to subjugate a troll settlement on the border of The Darkened Woods. This settlement was named Gor'deshi and it was nestled into the eastern mountains of Quel'thalas, making it a hard area to march on. Legend has it that Renius, atop a giant dragonhawk, flew right through the mountain fortifications and slew the Gor'deshi chieftan with his bow. This bow would later be named Shari'adune, "Trollslayer" in the common tongue, and go on to become one of House Firavel's treasures. With the troll forces in disarry, Renius proceeded to lead the Quel'dorei army to quick and decisive victory.
As a reward for his outstanding achievements, he was granted nobility and the land he had conquered. Atop this land he built Villanelle Castle, which was used as a bastion against the remaining troll warbands. Villanelle castle withstood many sieges by the forest trolls, but never once was it breached. This was due to the way Renius employed his dragonhawk riders. He sent the riders out to locate and burn the troll warbands as they were marching through the narrow mountain passage ways. The warbands that did manage to avoid detection and beseige the keep quickly found that their supplies were turned to ash, forcing them to retreat.
Renius's frequent use of dragonhawk riders earned him the nickname - "The Dragonhawk". As acknowledgement to his new nickname, Renius made House Firavel's sigil two dragonhawks circling the sun. He even hired dragonhawk breeders to work within his castle to ensure his riders had the best mounts available to them. Over time, the forest trolls were pushed further and further south until they eventually retreated completely, marking an end to the Troll Wars.
