History[]

Baron Revlas Detasatral, born Iskalan Emberfall was born in -1 of the kings Calendar in the 10th month on the fifth date to Rania Emberfall and Winton Detasatral.

The birth of Iskalan Emberfall was a scandal unto itself.

  • Iskalan was half-Lordaeronian and half Quel'dorei.
  • Something that was frowned upon by most, if not all members of House Emberfall at the time.
  • House Emberfall was a grade Noble house that was already on hard times.
  • The birth of Iskalan Emberfall made things much harder due to scrutiny involving the houses' associations with the human kingdom of Lordaeron.

However, in regard to House Detasatral in Lordaeron, the impact was far lighter.

  • The birth was celebrated.
  • Winton hadn't married and had no such heirs as of yet.
  • Winton believe the birth could unite House Emberfall and House Detasatral politically.
  • However, he was extremely wrong.

Rania, Iskalan's mother wanted her son to master the subtleties of high society. How to walk, talk and more importantly, how to eat properly. Formal education was little more than an afterthought, limited to the occasional tutor.

It was only during a short stay with Winton in Fallborough that he was finally given a formal education opportunity when he was nine years old.

  • Winton believed that Iskalan, who he called Revlas Detasatral should have a formal education in Lordaeron.
    • However, the thought of sending his son to Dalaran was off the table due to distrust with Dalaran.
    • During this time Iskalan learned to read and write in Common - even though beforehand it was just in Thalassian.
      • However, he could speak both Common and Thalassian at that time.

Around the time that Iskalan was fifteen years old, he was in formal education in Quel'thalas and mastering spells that he should have known by the time he was much younger.

  • He had a talent towards Destruction magic. More so fire.
    • That year, quite a few buildings and trees were burnt down.

By the time of the Scourging of Lordaeron, Iskalan hadn't been in contact with his father for at least several months due to studying in a school near Silvermoon.

  • He didn't know what was going on in Lordaeron.

Later that year, the Scourge marched on Quel'thalas and the thought of his father never came into his mind as he was more focused on fighting the undead.

  • Many people that Iskalan knew at the time died, including some of his close friends.
  • During the assault of the Scourge, his mother died as well as most of the people at the Emberfall estate.

Around four months after the fall of the Sunwell, Iskalan put forth proceedings to both claim all assets of House Emberfall.

  • Securing the fast fortune of House Emberfall was easy as it was directly given to him via Rania's will.

The Estate itself was far more complicated as it was directly in the hands of the courts.

  • During this time, unknown to everyone the deed to the estate was stolen by a master thief.

With the Estate left in the hands of the Courts and the remaining Emberfall's wanting his head, Iskalan decided to abandon his birth name Rania gave him entirely and took up the name he was given by his Lordaeronian father.

Revlas Detasatral.

With Lordaeron in ruins, Relvas didn't know if his father Winton was alive or dead.

  • Revlas decided to commit himself to the study of magic full time as he was now officially alone in the world or so he believed.

By the time of Prince Kael’thalas return and eventual betrayal, Revlas already had followed his prince to Outland.

  • He was promised new opportunity and wealth by going to Outland.
  • He became a Sunfury, fully supporting Kael’thalas even after his death Temptest Keep.
    • Revlas committing numerous questionable acts during this time.

Only once the last remains of Kael'thalas forces were defeated as well as the Sun King was killed did Revlas finally come back to Azeroth from Outland like many other Sunfury who were not willing to share the prince's dark fate.

Sometime later, Revlas joined the Kirin Tor formally and became a Sunreaver.

  • During this time Revlas enlisted in the horde Military proper and served during the War of the Lich King.

Revlas stayed with the Sunreavers until the purge of Dalaran.

  • During the purge most of his friends and allies were either captured or killed.
  • This caused him to formally leave the Kirin Tor and hate any Alliance adjacent forces.
  • Revlas did not pick sides during the Darkspear Rebellion, but was heavily towards staying with the Horde.

During the Third Invasion of the Burning Legion, Revlas was extremely outspoken about the Sunreavers re-joining the Kirin Tor.

  • So much so was his hatred that he did not re-join the war effort in regard to the Sunreavers.
  • Revlas served the Horde Proper under Sylvanas Windrunner.

When the Void Elves had their mass exodus, Revlas felt betrayed as several of his friends joined the Ren'dorei forces and they left quite violently in his mind.

By the time of the War of Thorns, which eventually lead into the Forth War, Revlas had obtained the title of Blood Guard in the Horde military proper.

  • He supported the burning of the World Tree and the war between the Horde and the Alliance.
  • He did not pick sides during the Rebellion against Sylvanas officially, but he may or may not have enjoyed getting to do what he wanted under her.

Revlas was stationed in Stormsong valley for a majority of the fourth War.

  • It was during the Fourth War that Revlas learned that his father's Barony not only stood, but he was the heir to it.

When the Armistice between the Horde and Alliance was created after the end of the Forth War, Revlas was extremely opposed to it in its entirety.

  • Revlas almost considered resigning is commission and leaving the forces of the horde military entirely, but ultimately shifted his status to remaining on call should he be needed.
    • A majority of Revlas' military service was command.

Not too long after the Armistice was settled, Revlas went back to Fallborough and not only claimed his father's Barony but also moved to rebuild it.

  • During this time Revlas also started doing diplomacy work.

By the time of the emergence of the Dragon Isles, Revlas had gained a fair amount of experience in diplomacy as well as running the Barony of Fallborough.

  • Revlas did not go to the Dragon Isles during this time, nor did he assist with the Dragonscale Expedition in any form.
    • Revlas believed that the Dragonscale Expedition wasn't necessary.

It was only after the battle for the world tree, Amirdrassil that Revlas even made the journey to Valdrakken, but it was mostly for a dioplomatic measure and nothing more.

  • Revlas stayed a total of one week on the Dragon Isles and then almost immediately returned back to Lordaeron.

By the time of the Mysterious visions that swept across Azeroth's population, the Barony of Fallborough had been thriving under Revlas' leadership.

  • While there were some places still in ruins, such as Fallbrook hold, the majority of the Baron was restored.
  • Revlas was gaining traction for becoming a diplomat and advisor of some regard.
  • Revlas went between Quel'thalas and Lordaeron quite often.

When the legendary island of Khaz Algar was discovered, Revlas was invited to see it via one of his contacts in Dalaran. However, due to Revlas' history and distrust of both the Alliance and the Kirin Tor he declined it.

  • Dalaran fell and Revlas was quite happy he declined the invitation.

Now, Revlas has been making strides to not only better himself, but to prove that he is far more than a Half-Elf and more importantly a scandal.

  • He is still trying to claim the Emberfall estate, but he has gotten nowhere with it.
    • Quel'thalas doesn't trust him enough and the deed to the estate and land is still missing.
  • Revlas became the Ambassador to the Horde for the Eternal Court of Lordaeron.

Surely, Revlas has everything under control or so he thinks.
