Salvog Sunstrike is the founder of the Sunstrike House after the exile of the Highborne. During their trek through the harsh winters north of what is now the Eastern Plaguelands, Lordaeron, he and his future wife, Novirrel Sunstrike, vowed to remain together until their end and beyond. A sort of unofficial wedding vow until the Highborne was able to settle and make a home.

Born to two Highborne commoners, Salvog had shown immediate interest in exploring and learning. His childhood had been spent exploring with his parents and brother through Azeroth. Many of their adventures they would return with strange relics and artifacts and stories to tell. While his father and brother were bards, Salvog had found interest in magic. More specifically, arcane magic.

While running around the ancient empire, he discovered some elves gathered in secret and hid in one of the baskets within the room. He watched the arcane magic be weaved around as the other elves laughed and ate and drank. The glittering purple-white glow refused to leave his mind even after he found his way back out later that day.

It hadn’t been long before they had caught on the child was hiding, however, they waited. If he was eager to learn, he’d return, and so he did. Each day for several months he’d return and remain to hide, even attempting his own abilities in conjuring arcane. Finally, the leader of this group opened the top of the basket he hid himself in and he was introduced directly to the small elven group. Despite his family, as they were known to be against the arcane magic as it continued to rise and become a problem, they had no qualms in teaching the child the magic. Much to their surprise, he picked up on them quickly and soon he was more than a student.

His vision for House Sunstrike was to continue the study and practice of arcane and light magic, furthering their knowledge and abilities. The design was split between Arcanists and Priests, each lead by Salvog and Novirrel respectively.
