Shadow (or void) magic is the manifestation of Shadow, also called Void. Void lords are entities composed of pure shadow energy. The Old Gods are creatures of the Void.
Shadow magic is extremely corruptible and requires great care to be utilized to its fullest extent.
Shadow magic, as the magic of the Void, is the direct counterpart to holy magic, the magic of the Light – the Void's polar opposite.
Most common practitioners of shadow magic, called shadowcasters, warlocks, shadowmages, shadow priests, necromancers and Talonpriest arakkoa.
A small collective of worshippers to the Void and users of shadow magic succumb to the maddening whispers of the Void. Many developing ritualistic practices in the form of cults. A famous example in the form of the Twilight's Hammer.
