The primary escort design used by the Greyhallow Fleet, the Skhmyd-class or Forge-class is a class of armoured, oared Sixth Rate Corvette designed by the Kathsyppyr Shipyards. Intended for escort, anti-shipping and anti-air roles, vessels of the Skhmyd-class are the most numerous in the Greyhallow Fleet, with over 30 having been built and used since the class's creation.

As of late 626 K.C, all Skhmyd-class Corvettes have been redesigned and upgraded to armoured screw corvettes, replacing their oar decks with coal bunkers and a steam engine.

History[]

Designed and constructed in 539 K.C to replace the Eysen-class Galleys, the Skhmyd-class were designed with the same base design and hull of the more common Lightning-class Corvettes, although as armoured galleasses, they were built with armoured sides and an oar deck.
