Stormwind Military Law deals exclusively with the Stormwind Army and the apprehension and trying of soldiers and war criminals. All military laws are currently passed by the reigning King of Stormwind. Given the sensitive nature of military command and the maintenance of the kingdom's defense, military law differs in a number of aspects from conventional law.
Note: This document was drafted to aid in the believability and legal process of the Stormwind Judiciary and its affiliated guilds. The processes and crimes listed are by no means an authoritative guide - role-players are free to interpret war crimes and military law as they see fit.
This document will be adapted and changed as necessary as the story of World of Warcraft progresses.
Court Martials[]
The Stormwind Army, Stormwind Navy and Stormwind Guard maintain separate courts reserved only for internal and military affairs. Soldiers who are accused of breaching military law are brought before these courts in what is known as a Court Martial.
Prisoners of war may also be court martialled for accused war crimes. Crimes committed by prisoners of war that are not considered war crimes are to be tried in the civil courts.
Command Responsibility[]
In all cases where an officer or ranking soldier gives a command for their subordinates to commit a war crime, the soldier or officer who gives the command is responsible for the actions committed by his subordinates.

Massacre of Civilian Noncombatants[]
One who orders the deliberate killing of allied, neutral or enemy civilians without proper trial is guilty of Massacre of Civilian Noncombatants.
Massacre of Prisoners of War[]
One who orders the killing of prisoner allied, neutral or enemy soldiers without proper trial is guilty of Massacre of Enemy Prisoners of War.
Rape of Soldiers[]
One who orders or carries out the rape of allied, neutral or enemy soldiers is guilty of Rape of Soldiers.
Rape of Civilian Noncombatants[]
One who orders or carries out the rape of allied, neutral or enemy civilian noncombatants is guilty of Rape of Civilian Noncombatants.
