Description

Infobox military award is an infobox designed to be used on pages regarding military awards and honors.

Syntax

All parameters and their uses are listed below. Assure to use the exact spacing and capitalization when entering it in your source code.

  • Name - Insert the name of the award which will be displayed at the very top of the box. This parameter is technically optional as if not entered the exact page name the template is placed on will be put into the section.
  • Medal - Insert an image of the medal version of the award; simply enter the name of the file on the wiki database plus the extension (.png, .jpg, etc). This parameter is optional if you do not wish to add a picture of a medal.
  • Medal size - Denotes the size of the medal image should you wish to customize it. This parameter is optional and if not entered the medal image size will default to 150px.
  • Medal caption - Add an italic caption below the medal image. This parameter is optional and if not entered no caption will appear.
  • Ribbon - Insert an image of the ribbon version of the award; simply enter the name of the file on the wiki database plus the extension (.png, .jpg, etc). This parameter is optional if you do not wish to add a picture of a ribbon.
  • Ribbon size - Denotes the size of the ribbon image should you wish to customize it. This parameter is optional and if not entered the ribbon image size will default to 80px.
  • Ribbon caption - Add an italic caption below the ribbon image. This parameter is optional and if not entered no caption will appear.
  • Awarded by - Enter whom has the authority to give the award (i.e. Horde Military, Alliance Military).
  • Type - Enter the type of the award (i.e. service medal, badge, etc).
  • Eligibility - Enter whom is eligible to be given the award (i.e. all military personnel, non-commissioned officers).
  • Awarded for - Enter why the award is given to someone (i.e. conspicuous heroism, etc).
  • Show post nominals - Enter whether or not you wish to display the "Post Nominals" cell in the box by making this parameter equal "yes" or "no". If not entered it will automatically equal "yes".
  • Post nominals - Show (if there is any; see above parameter) the post-nominals given to a recipient of the award (typically an abbreviation of the award name).
  • Show campaign - Enter whether or not you wish to display the "Campaign" cell in the box by making this parameter equal "yes" or "no". If not entered it will automatically equal "yes".
  • Campaign - Show (if there is any; see above parameter) the campaign this award was awarded during (i.e. War against the Lich King).
  • Status - Show the status of the award (i.e. currently awarded, no longer awarded, etc).
  • Higher - Show the award that is ranked one above the award in question within the appropriate order of precedence.
  • Lower - Show the award that is ranked one below the award in question within the appropriate order of precedence.
