Being my size isn't always an advantage. We're assumed to be aggressive and tough, often pushed to our edge hoping we'd snap in order to prove their assumptions correct.

Dyana Itheca, to Vannesyra Smith

The Tenochtri (Pronounced Ten-oct-tree), also known by the derogatory term of "Drustbloods" are a Kul Tiran ethnic group hailing from the western region of the Isle of Kul Tiras. They primarily live in Drustvar, and to a much lesser extent Tiragarde Sound and Stormsong Valley.

A majority of them reside under lands lorded over by the House of Itheca, who identifies with them and swears to protect them following the Blood Purity Civil Wars thousands of years ago after the War Against the Drust.

They are noted for their gigantic heights, wayfinding, forest worship, and their distinct genealogy. Baring both traitorous Drust and the human blood by way of the the seafaring Tydenborne and Gilnean colonizers.

Names

Tenochtri parents give their newborn a name following its first breath, typically taking the wealthier parent's surname regardless of gender. Some Tenochtri alter their last names in order to highlight their own accomplishments.

Example of names include:

  • Male: Jonah, Cadmus, Homer, Idris, Edgar, Phineas, Irwyn, Tane
  • Female: Calafia, Aveline, Selina, Indira, Georgette, Myrish, Oliana
  • Family: Caracall, Esterline, Redguard, Silversmith, Delahaye, Yal

Tenochtri affiliated with the Thornspeakers have surnames and sometimes even first names reflective of nature, such as Mulch, Lily, Quietgrove, Thornspike, etc.

Shoutouts

  • Special thanks to Vann for their patience to listen to my ideas. ♥

Notes

  • This is a group attached to my Kul Tiran noble's lands and not an explanation to impose on all "large" Kul Tirans. Though any is free to be inspired by them to create their own group or ask me to join this one.
