The Greenskinned Beast was a theatrical play written by the Bard's College of Darnassus and patroned by Warden Melyria Starstrike. It was performed for a number of Kaldorei orphans.
The Greenskinned Beast[]
Narrator: Since before Kaldorei could remember the White Lady's son roamed the forests of Ashenvale. He was the Forest Lord. A powerful teacher and a force of nature, he aided the Kaldorei when they were in need.
<Enter The Forest Lord>
Narrator: He taught many a druid and his sons and daughters protected the land and fought the vile satyr and demons.
<The Forest Lord bows to the audience>
Narrator: But ten years ago a great evil landed upon the shores of Kalimdor. The Greenskin beasts.
<Enter the Greenskinned Beast>
<The Greenskinned Beast roars and thumps his chest>
Narrator: The beasts ran across the lands and invaded the Kaldorei's ancient homeland. They uprooted trees, devastated nature and disrespected the forests.
<The Greenskinned Beast laughs>
The Greenskinned Beast: Cut them all down! We need more lumber for our war machine!
Narrator: And the Kaldorei and Forest Lord took notice. And with a great push they sought to throw the monsters out of Ashenvale forever.
<Enter Sentinel1>
<Enter Sentinel2>
<The Forest Lord gathers the two Sentinels to his side and roars at the Greenskinned Beast>
Narrator: And the monsters were no match for their power.
<The Greenskinned Beast cowers before the might of the Kaldorei>
Narrator: But the monsters were cowardly. They turned to their demonic masters and with their boon grew strong.
<The Greenskinned Beast drinks from a cup and suddenly roars>
The Greenskinned Beast: Chaos reigns! These forests will burn!
<The Greenskinned Beast rushes forward and throws the two Sentinels to the ground>
<Sentinel1 falls>
<Sentinel2 falls>
Narrator: And the creatures, in an act of evil, cut down the Forest Lord and the Sentinels.
<The Forest Lord falls>
The Forest Lord: These transgressions will not go unpunished!
Narrator: And... unfortunately... the story does not have a happy ending children. The Forest Lord died that day. And the Greenskins are still here, still threatening us. And this is why every Kaldorei must be ready to fight against this threat...
