The Martyrs of Charhelm are a group of one-hundred undead residing within Charhelm Keep in the region of Rosenhearth. They were formerly the garrison stationed in the keep to act as the forlorn hope against the Forsaken marching upon Rosenhearth during the Invasion of Gilneas. After the siege of Charhelm keep, the entire garrison were slaughtered only to be raised as undead during the days that followed. Unwilling to allow the men to be subjugated by the Forsaken, the garrison's arcanist, Abertyne Fiske, with her commander's approval, managed to create a powerful enchantment, binding them to the keep for as long as the spell remained valid, but at the price of all the men having to relive the siege of Charhelm Keep every single nightfall.
Today, the Martyrs of Charhelm, as they have taken to calling themselves, reside in isolation within the walls of their ruined fortress.
Their leaders are, Sir Grimbald Hammet, and Arcanist Albertyne Fiske.
