The Tirassian Secret Service is a covert organization in service to the Kingdom of Kul Tiras and was one of the finest intelligence agencies in the Eastern Kingdoms during the reign of Lord Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, however since his death they have suffered a sharp decline in their capabilities and global influence. They operate from a number of leased compounds around Kul Tiras, the chief-most of which is located somewhere in the capital of Boralus.
The secret service was formerly very able, possessing of extensive knowledge of both Horde troop movements as well as a great deal of useful information on the political leaders and administration of the entire Alliance. This was enabled by an advanced and complex system of communications and safe-houses. Despite this influence, the secret service was unable to prevent the death of Daelin Proudmoore and subsequent scattering of the Tirassian fleet at Theramore. During Daelin’s reign, the secret service was generally hated and feared by both the civilian populace and the nobility because of their common and clandestine executions of those deemed to be spies, rebels or traitors. They specialized in the undertaking of any of Proudmoore's business which was of a covert nature, including the elimination of threats to the country and the gathering of illicit information.
With Daelin's death, many operatives of the secret service were cast to the wind and scattered around both Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms. Many former agents were absorbed into Theramore’s military intelligence or recruited by SI:7. The service still exists in Kul Tiras, however it is but a shadow of what it once was.
The service was known to frequently collaborate with the Violet Eye in their prime.
