The Vice-Chancellor of the Magus Senate of Dalaran is the second of command of the mage body within the City-State of Dalaran called the Magus Senate of Dalaran. The office of the Chancellor directly oversees the Vice-Chancellery and the two often work together in order to ensure both the Senate body and the Cabinet are effective in their duties and decisions.

Office Holders[]

Below is the list of all office holders of Vice-Chancellor of the Magus Senate in order.

Elberich Haltring, First Vice-Chancellor[]

Elberich Haltring was the first Vice-Chancellor of the Magus Senate of Dalaran, serving under Verus Baelheit until an illness struck the elderly man and caused his resignation. He later returned to the Senate, serving as Minister of Justice and Speaker of the Magus Senate of Dalaran. Elberich later retired from both positons.

Damon Halliwell, Second Vice-Chancellor[]

Damon Halliwell served as Vice-Chancellor after Archmage Haltring's resignation. He later became Chancellor, appointing Meriahm Lausten to the position.

Meriahm Lausten, Third Vice-Chancellor[]

Meriahm Lausten is a Stormwind born mage who became the third Vice-Chancellor after Damon Halliwell's accession into the Chancellery. She brought several changes to the Senate most notably the introduction of the Senate branch of the Violet Eye. She is also known for leading the Senate forces in their campaign in Azshara during the Siege of Orgrimmar, though she resigned shortly afterwards for unknown reason. Meriahm later returned to the senate, taking up the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs. Meriahm later resigned from the senate shortly following the conclusion of the War on Draenor.

Vorien Dawnstrider, Fourth Vice-Chancellor[]

Vorien Dawnstrider is the first High Elf to obtain the position of Vice-Chancellor, and is the only non human to currently serve in the Cabinet. Vice-Chancellor Dawnstrider has served as Foreign Minister and Interior Minister during his tenure as Vice-Chancellor, he later gave up both positions to Zanbor Emerson and Arranax DeVin, respectively. Due to Chancellor Halliwell's frequent injuries, Vorien often serves as Acting Chancellor. Vorien became Chancellor when the previous Chancellor, Damon Halliwell, went through the Dark Portal, and was presumed deceased. Vorien resumed his position as Vice-Chancellor when Damon Halliwell was found to be alive.

Zanbor Emerson, Acting[]

When the invasion of the Iron Horde and the mission to destroy the portal was announced the majority of the Inner Council decided to go through the Dark Portal and aid Khadgar. When the Portal went dark the rest of the council was assumed dead. At that time Vorien Dawnstrider became the new Chancellor, and appointed Foreign Minister Zanbor Emerson as Vice-Chancellor. During his tenure as Vice-Chancellor, Zanbor largely ignored the few people left in the Senate and worked on his alchemy projects instead. When those that went through the Dark Portal came back alive, Zanbor quickly resigned his position to allow for Vorien to retake it.

Aetyleus the Elder, Fifth Vice-Chancellor[]

Appointed January 16th, 41 L.C., Aetyleus the Elder is an Archmage of the Kirin Tor. Renowned as a brilliant scholar within the magical and alchemical community, Aetyleus' wisdom, guidance, and council is often sought by the leaders and magi of the Grand Alliance and the Magocracy of Dalaran. Profoundly skilled in use of Transmutation, Abjuration, and Evocation, as well as demonstrating a moderate-to-high proficiency in the other schools of Arcane Magic, the Archmage has served among the ranks of the original Conjurers of Stormwind and Mages' Guild during his long and fruitful life.
