The Western Legion is the name given to the Waycrest Guard's third regiment led by High Commander Claudina Itheca. The regiment's base resides within Westercoast, Edgeshore, where they keep a moderately sized barrack. The legion formerly answered to Waycrest Marshal, Everit Reade; since his death they answer to his successor, Joan Cleardawn.
The first company of each cavalry and infantry battalion is led by the Tenoch War-Women, an elite cavalry and arms-women unit. Other battalions and companies within the regiment include arbalists, gunners, halberdiers, and mortar launchers.
The Itheca Guard is sometimes assisted by the Western Legion, as they are levies from their land. Most hail from the Edgewater Military Institute. Their barrack provides free wagon rides to Edgeshore's Great Library, placed only a few miles away at the center of Westercoast.
