Khadgar's Tower in Zangarra.
Zangarra is a small cove in the North-West part of Talador on Draenor. The area is the location of a powerful Ley Line nexus. Due to that it is the location where Archmage Khadgar of the Kirin Tor decided to summon his tower. Zangarra became the headquarters of the Kirin Tor Expedition to Draenor as a result of Khadgar's decision.
Overview[]
The cove itself is hard to access from Talador. There is a path that brings you to a cliff that overlooks the cove. The Kirin Tor have established a small camp on the cliff to help bring visitors down to Khadger's Tower and the surrounding camp. The Kirin Tor stationed their have secured their settlement with wards and arcane familiars, however Khadgar welcomes in anyone who is willing to aid in his quest to defeat the Shadow Council regardless of their affiliation with the Horde or Alliance.
The cove lets out into the bay between Shadowmoon Valley and Tanaan Jungle. While the Kirin Tor controls the higher areas of the cove, the low lying portions are still controled by podlings, shamblers, and fungal giants and should be avoided by those who cannot defend themselves. Sporebats are commonly found flying throughout the area, the smaller ones are generally harmless though.
History[]
The history of Zangarra is not well known however one can speculate that the powerful ogre mages from Highmaul once explored or settled in the area. Fragments of ogre items and relics having been found in ground around the giant mushrooms.
